Our Story

My name is Leigh Boodoo. I am a mother of 2 children and have struggled with a lifetime of executive functioning difficulties due to a seizure disorder and undiagnosed ADHD. These experiences inspired me to come up with hacks to make my daily life a success and led me to create Wristflips!
When my children began showing signs of struggle with their own routines, we tried everything from routine charts to systems like hanging lists around the house and walking around with index cards. Nothing would work! They would leave the routine unfinished, could not remember what was left to do, ignored charts and felt stressed and overwhelmed when required to return to unfinished steps.
There had to be a better way, so I came up with the idea to put the routine chart on their wrist! After creating and using a prototype, Wristflips significantly helped my children succeed with their everyday routines and tasks. They fostered independence, self-confidence and established the routines in their memory. Tedious daily tasks became fun and rewarding.
I soon realized I needed to share Wristflips with others. My mission as a parent, community member and entrepreneur is to help children gain self-confidence early in life despite any challenges they may face. I am passionate about helping families minimize daily routine struggles, create a healthy family dynamic and foster independence in their children. Parents are more overwhelmed than ever and need tools to help their children become independent and create an environment where children can feel proud and accomplished.
In addition to being a mom, I am a graduate from Adelphi University and hold my Master’s degree from New York University. Before my children, I held a career in customer relationship management and marketing. I am actively involved in supporting the special needs community and spreading the word to help others understand executive functioning difficulties in children and adults.
